Dear Editor
It has been bothering me that our Climax Village might be spending a lot of money on Attorney fees. When we were speaking to residents on a previous survey, there were several sued by the Village that seemed like minor infractions.
Now I believe that in the last 4 years (since Jim Cummings became president of the Village in 2020 and was replaced by David Miller February 2024), the Village has spent a lot of money on attorney fees and ordinance enforcement. For example, the Village suing the library while Cummings was president which seemed a waste of money and extremely unnecessary.
After doing some research, according to information obtained from the Village Clerk, the Village has spent so far this year alone from January through August $13,838. Since David Miller became president. Why?
We all need to decide if we want to continue under the current council or make a change in November.
