To equip court leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary for building agile and resilient court organizations, the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is now offering customized leadership training to strengthen the leadership skills of judges, administrators, managers, and staff.
The customized training offers a range of options, from short presentations to multi-day workshops, all designed to enhance collaboration, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness within the courts.
“We saw a need to provide customized training to build productive court teams and cultivate a stronger leadership culture,” said NCSC Managing Director Kristen Trebil-Halbersma, “Each training is different and specific to each court—that’s what makes it so valuable.”
Trebil-Halbersma highlighted that NCSC works in partnership with individual courts to assess their specific needs to develop relevant and impactful training programs.
Courses focus on key areas such as communication, team building, and leading through change. Beyond traditional lectures, the training incorporates hands-on activities, guided discussions, and real-world scenario exercises.
Courses are delivered in person, with options for virtual presentations on select topics. These flexible options include:
• Concise 1-3 hour presentations
• Comprehensive 1-4 day onsite workshops
• Intensive, customizable 2-day coaching introduction
For more than 50 years, NCSC has provided leadership training including courses available through the Institute for Court Management and expert one-on-one executive coaching.
