Lozano’s preliminary exam was held on Sept. 3 and 10 before Judge Kathleen Galen in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe,
At the end of the exam, Galen was asked by prosecutors to add additional charges of First-Degree Home Invasion and a third count of Felony Firearm to the original charges.
Last week, Galen bound Lozano over to the circuit court on all original charges, plus the additional charges.
Lozano will be arraigned before Judge Joseph Toia in the Macomb County Circuit Court on Thursday, October 9,
Lozano is facing the following charges:
• Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony
• First-Degree Home Invasion, a 20-year felony
• Three counts of Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, each consecutive to main charges
• Weapons – Firearms – Discharge in or at a Building, a 10-year felony
• Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, a 2-year felony
Lozano is in custody at the Macomb County Jail with a $350,000 cash/surety bond.
It is alleged that on Sunday, August 17, 2025, Willie Richardson, the father of Lozano’s friend, asked Lozano to leave his home and he escorted her outside.
Lozano reentered the home without permission and was armed with a handgun which she shot at Richardson. He was not struck.
While being detained, Lozano would not follow the police officer’s instructions and additional officers had to assist in her arrest, authorities said.
