He is the last of five defendants bound over to the circuit court in this matter. All of the defendants are Venezuelan citizens.
Ater a preliminary exam Monday in 41A District court, Judge Kimberley Wiegand bound Hermoso over to Macomb County Circuit Court to face charges of Safe Breaking and Conspiracy to Commit Safe Breaking.
Both charges carry a penalty of life or any term of years imprisonment.
Hermoso will be arraigned on Oct. 6
It is alleged that Hermoso was with four other individuals as one of them used tools to access an ATM on April 15.
Dyfred Reyes-Palacios, Howard Jaen Gil, Jose Aguilar and Eyder Francia waived their preliminary exams and are also facing charges of Safe Breaking and Conspiracy to Commit Safe Breaking.
Francia has an additional charge of possession of burglar tools. Each of the men has a $250,000 cash/surety bond.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has detainers on the men.
