Law Review to conduct special symposium Nov. 10
The Law Review at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law will host a special symposium on the “Sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald: Exploring the Legal Issues Surrounding Deadly Shipwrecks and Honoring the 50th Anniversary of a Great Lakes Tragedy” Monday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room 226 of the law school, 651 E. Jefferson Ave. in Detroit.
The symposium will present two panel discussions:
• Panel 1: Property Theme
• Panel 2: Constitutional and State Law Theme
A eucharistic service will also take place at Mariners’ Church of Detroit with special prayers for the 29 souls lost and the ringing of the bell 29 times in their memory.
