New attorneys celebrated
Macomb County Circuit Court Chief Judge James Biernat recently continued the tradition of swearing in new attorneys to the State Bar of Michigan. Law students who passed the July bar exam gathered in Biernat’s courtroom as their families and friends looked on.
The new admittees included Grant Golasa, who is pictured with Farrah Ramdayal-Howard, president of the Macomb County Bar Association (MCBA).
Another new admittee was Kailey Kelliher. On hand to congratulate her on the achievement was Landon Piazza.
VARIOUS judges who serve on the circuit court bench attended the ceremony along with officials from the MCBA, which sponsored the event. Also being sworn in to practice law in Michigan was Darby Gilkinson, who is pictured with sponsor Sherriee Detzler, MCBA president-elect and president of the bar foundation.
