Society schedules Happy Hour
The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers (ISIAL) will host a Networking and Happy Hour event on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

New FOC employees webinar offered
The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI), in collaboration with the Friend of the Court Bureau (FOCB), is offering a webinar for new(er) friend of the court (FOC) staff.
The “New Friend of the Court Employees Webinar” will take place Thursday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom. The event is designed for FOC staff with two years or less experience.
By the conclusion of this webinar, organizers say staff will be familiar with purpose and meaning of the office of the friend of the court.
To register for the training, visit https://mjieducation.mi.gov and click on “events.” Once registration is approved, MJI will notify attendees of their acceptance to the training and send a personal link to join the webinar.

Bowling event planned by ADTC
The Association of Defense Trial Counsel will host its “2026 Bowling Event” on Friday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A fun night of bowling will take place at Bowlero Lanes & Lounge in Royal Oak.

‘Digitial Accessibility & the Courts’
The National Center for State Courts will present a webinar on “Digital Accessibility & the Courts” on Monday, March 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom.
Attendees will learn how three states have made court websites and forms digitally accessible and planned for accessibility going forward in advance of the federal deadline for state and local government digital accessibility in April 2026.
This webinar will highlight tools and resources from NCSC and panel discussion from court staff in Illinois, Massachusetts, and Minnesota.
