New lawyer admission ceremony

The list of those who passed the February bar exam has been posted by the State Board of Law Examiners and is available on the board’s website, www.courts.michigan.gov/administration/committees-boards/board-of-law-examiners.
The Macomb County Bar Association will conduct its new lawyer admission ceremony on Thursday, May 14, at 4 p.m. at the Macomb County Courthouse 3rd floor courtroom of 16th Circuit Court Chief Judge James Biernat Jr., 40 N. Main in Mt. Clemens.
Participants are asked to check in by 3:30 p.m.

The National Center for State Courts will present a webinar on “Leading a Multi-Generational Workforce” on Tuesday, May 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. via Zoom.

Pro Bono Honor Roll
The State Bar of Michigan’s 2026 Pro Bono Honor Roll Application and Pro Bono Service Reporting Survey are now available for individual attorneys, solo practitioners, law firms and corporations.
The deadline for submission is May 15.
The Pro Bono Honor Roll recognizes those who support access-to-justice efforts by providing qualifying pro bono legal services to low-income individuals and families in Michigan.
The 2025 Pro Bono Honor Roll recognized more than 800 Michigan-licensed attorneys who reported more than 34,500 hours of pro bono legal services in 2024.
