SBM podcast explores ‘Avoiding Ethical Missteps’

Attorneys often face complicated ethical questions and consequences for making missteps — even if their unethical actions are unintentional.

In the September episode of MiLawyer Podcast, Erica Lemanski, a partner at Mogill, Lemanski, & Gerometta PLLC, discusses how seemingly innocent decisions can quickly turn into ethical violations for legal professionals. She also shares some steps attorneys can take to help defend themselves if their behavior is ever called into question.

This month’s discussion also talks about why prioritizing mental health, having the right support system, and setting healthy boundaries can help protect attorneys from making the mistakes that can lead to discipline.

The podcast is hosted by Molly Ranns, the director of SBM’s Lawyer & Judges Assistance Program, and Savanna Polimeni, SBM’s practice management counsel.
