A seminar on amendments to local bankruptcy rules and federal rules of civil procedure will be presented by the bench of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
The program will take place from 4-7 p.m. in Room 115 of the Levin U.S. District Courthouse in Detroit.
Amendments to the Local Rules of the Eastern District of Michigan Bankruptcy Court are coming and are expected to become effective on Feb. 1.
In addition, certain amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure took effect Dec. 1.
Speakers will include all of the judges of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and members of the Rules Committee that drafted the proposed revised local rules.
A networking reception will follow the seminar.
Cost is $25 per person.
