Funding boosts efforts to support caregivers of older adults

DETROIT (AP) — A Detroit-based foundation is investing $2 million each in southeastern Michigan and western New York to boost efforts that support caregivers of older adults.

The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation says the money is going to the Michigan Health Endowment Fund and the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York. It will endow new staff positions focused on developing and funding programs and initiatives for caregivers.

The Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation is named after the founder of the Buffalo Bills. Ralph Wilson was 95 when he died at his Grosse Pointe Shores home in 2014.
