Museum names more InsideOut program sites
DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Institute of Arts has selected 11 new communities to host reproductions of the museum's paintings on their streets and in their parks.
The reproductions will be installed in the communities and be on view anywhere from September until the end of November.
It's part of the DIA's ongoing InsideOut program.
The new sites are Birmingham, Franklin, Armada, Detroit, Holly, Milford, Warren, Lake Orion, Oxford, Belleville and Macomb County's Macomb Township.
The DIA will offer free museum admission to residents of participating communities to a Family Sunday so they can experience "their" works of art in person.
