Free Legal Information Help Desk announces new hours of operation
The Free Legal Information Help Desk is now providing legal information and referrals to pro se litigants on Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. in the lobby of the north entrance to the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Road.
The help desk had been open on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The help desk is sponsored by the Oakland County Bar Association and Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc. (LAD). It is staffed by LAD attorneys and pro bono attorneys from corporate and private practice.
"The Free Legal Information Help Desk provides timely information and referrals to pro se litigants--litigants acting as their own attorneys--and legal advice to those who qualify for our services," said Kelly L. Bidelman, managing attorney of LAD's offices in Macomb and Oakland counties.
For additional information, call LAD's Oakland office at (248) 253-1548.
