Law Library to host WestlawNext trainings
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host three WestlawNext training classes for attorneys this fall. The first class will be offered on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
WestlawNext, the Next Generation in Legal Research, is the newest product release from Thomson Reuters. A continuation of the Westlaw database, WestlawNext has a new user interface and debuts new features to assist attorneys in locating and analyzing legal information in a quick and efficient manner.
Attorneys who wish to learn how to use WestlawNext for the first time or those who wish to improve their knowledge of electronic legal research are encouraged to attend the sessions.
The classes will be taught by an instructor from Thomson Reuters. The curriculum will focus upon the specific research needs of attorneys.
Additional classes will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 21, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
The training classes are being presented in partnership with the Oakland County Bar Association.
All classes are free and are open to any Michigan attorney. Attendees can register in advance by calling the library at (248) 858-0012.
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library is located on the second floor of the West Wing Extension, the five-story glass building (14 East) attached to the main courthouse building. For additional information, contact Laura Mancini, director of Library Services at (248) 858-0012.
