Speakers tell of arguing before Supreme Court
The Michigan Chapter of the American Constitution Society will present "A View from the Podium: Arguing Before the United States Supreme Court" on Thursday, Jan. 19, at noon at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, 651 East Jefferson Avenue.
This program will feature four seasoned Michigan appellate advocates describing their recent experiences arguing before the highest court in the land. Elizabeth Jacobs, Marla McCowan, Peter Van Hoek, and Valerie Newman will discuss how to prepare for and argue cases in the Supreme Court. They will also share "war stories" of their recent arguments.
The event is free. To register, visit acslaw.org/SC_MI.
