County Commission reapportionment maps and meetings announced
The reapportionment maps submitted to the County Commission for consideration in the wake of a new state law cutting the number of commissioner districts in Oakland County to 21 are now available for public view at: http://www.oakgov.com/clerkrod/elections/apportionment.html.
The public will have several opportunities for public comment on the maps :
* Oversight Committee Meeting today at 8 a.m.
* Republican Caucus meeting Wednesday, April 11.
* Full County Board of Commissioners meeting Friday, April 13, 9 a.m.
A final map is scheduled to be voted on at the April 13th Board meeting. Each map can be amended up to three times by a vote of the Commission. All meetings are held in the County Commission conference rooms or auditorium, in the building directly west of the County Clerk's Office and south of the Treasurer's Office at 1200 Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac.
