Two men charged in alcohol-poisoning death
EAST LANSING (AP) -- A judge in East Lansing has ordered two young men tried in the alcohol poisoning death of a freshman in her Michigan State University dorm room.
A roommate found 18-year-old Olivia N. Pryor dead March 19.
On Tuesday, District Judge David Jordon ruled there's enough evidence to try 19-year-old Dishon Ambrose of Detroit and 18-year-old Marquez Cannon of Eastpointe.
Ambrose is charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor causing death and being an accessory after the fact to first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving Pryor.
Cannon is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving Pryor, third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving Pryor's roommate, and supplying alcohol to a minor.
The roommate says the students and their male visitors were engaged in a shot-drinking competition.
