Secretary of state runs mobile campus registration
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Secretary of State Ruth Johnson sways her department's mobile office will stop on five university campuses this week to register voters.
Johnson says it's part of the 2012 "ExpressSOS" Voter Registration Drive, which includes visits to 20 universities, colleges and community centers.
The stops included a visit Monday to Ferris State University in Big Rapids. The office is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Circle Drive.
Johnson says other stops include Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant on today, Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw County's Kochville Township on Wednesday, the University of Michigan-Flint on Thursday and Michigan State University in East Lansing on Friday.
Oct. 9 is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 6 presidential election.
