State police aim to help with 'Stuff a Blue Goose'
AUBURN HILLS (AP) -- Michigan State Police are getting into the holiday spirit with their "Stuff a Blue Goose" campaign.
The state police's blue patrol car is known as a "Blue Goose." As part of the holiday effort, off-duty state troopers will be stationed with a patrol car to accept new and unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items and clothing. All donations benefit the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign.
On Saturday and Sunday, troopers plan to be at the Outdoor Shop at Great Lakes Crossing mall in Auburn Hills.
On Dec. 22 and 23, they'll be at the Walmart at Novi Town Center. The events run from noon-5 p.m.
