Moving company gets $350K grant for expansion
DELHI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A home and business moving company has been awarded a $350,000 state grant for expanding its corporate headquarters in the Lansing area.
Gov. Rick Snyder on Wednesday thanked Two Men and A Truck International Inc. for continuing its investment and growing new jobs in Mid-Michigan.
The expansion in Delhi Township, just outside Lansing, is expected to generate capital investment of nearly $4 million and create 125 jobs over the next five years.
Teenagers Brig and Jon Sorber founded Two Men and A Truck in the 1980s east of Lansing in Okemos. Nearly 80 people now work at its corporate offices and there are franchises across the country. The company also operates in Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Snyder says the company "is a homegrown success story."
