FBI's Detroit office chief plans to step down

DETROIT (AP) -- The special agent in charge of the FBI's Detroit division plans to step down after a year on the job. Robert Foley told the Detroit Free Press on Monday that the decision was related to the health of a family member. No replacement has been named yet, and The Detroit News reports Foley will relocate to Florida and work in the FBI's Tampa office. Foley plans to step down within 45 days. He formerly was special agent in charge of the administrative division in the Washington field office. He became an FBI agent in 1996, working in Connecticut.
