County treasurer promotes National Save for Retirement Week
Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner is pleased to announce that his office is promoting National Save for Retirement Week. National Save for Retirement Week is October 20-26 and was created through U.S. Senate Resolution 222 in September of 2013.
"Protecting retirement security is a priority" said Meisner. "During this National Save for Retirement Week, let's all take a look at our own retirement plans to ensure we are on track to meet our goals."
The stated goals of National Save for Retirement Week include: making employees more aware of how critical it is to save now for their financial future, promoting the benefits of getting started saving for retirement today, and encouraging employees to take full advantage of their employer-sponsored plans by increasing their contributions.
