Mich. musicians record Christmas CD for charity
DETROIT (AP) -- A group of Michigan musicians has recorded a Christmas CD whose proceeds will go toward helping children in need.
"A Michigan Christmas of Hope" benefits Holy Cross Children's Services, which works to assist abused, abandoned and neglected children in the state.
The CD is available for a minimum donation of $10. HCCS receives 100 percent of the profits from the sales.
It provides services to more than 2,000 at-risk children and their families daily.
Among the artists who recorded a track for the CD include Jeff Daniels, the Silver Bullet Band, Mark Farner, Devin Scillian and Karen Newman.
