Speakers Bureau created by Holocaust Center
The Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus (www.holocaustcenter.org) announced the creation of The Speakers Bureau designed to bring the museum to community groups that may not be able to come to the center.
"We understand that not everyone has the time and/or capacity to come out to our museum," said Holocaust Memorial Center Executive Director Stephen M. Goldman. "Our goal is to bring the museum to them. Teach what the Holocaust was and the lessons learned not just about this horrible period but the fantastic displays of courage, strength and righteousness that also resulted and brought us hope."
Audiences will have the opportunity to hear from one of the Holocaust Memorial Center's highly trained docents and view a presentation featuring Holocaust-related images from the museum's archives, exhibits, and displays. A Q&A session with the docent concludes the program which can be tailored to suit a 30-60 minute timeframe.
Those wishing to coordinate having a member of The Speakers Bureau should contact Tour Coordinator Gail Cohen at 248-553-2400, ext. 10. Travel distance on appearances will be limited to locations within a two-hour maximum time frame.
