Briefing to look at Michigan right-to-work laws after one year

Michigan's controversial right-to-work laws altered the business landscape when enacted nearly one year ago. Butzel Long will commemorate this anniversary by hosting a Breakfast Briefing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, at the firm's Bloomfield Hills office located at 41000 Woodward Avenue. The registration fee is $25 per person and includes a continental breakfast. The program will feature Butzel Long labor and employment attorneys Malcolm Brown, Gary Klotz, and Craig Schwartz. During the program, they will review: * The current status of the right-to-work laws and the challenges to them. * Effects of the right-to-work laws on collective bargaining agreements, unions, unionized employers, and unionized employees. * Tactics regarding right-to-work available to unionized employers negotiating collective bargaining agreements in 2014 and beyond.
