'Labor and Employment Civil Litigation Training Seminar' offered by FBA
The U.S. District Court and the Federal Bar Association Eastern District of Michigan Chapter's Pro Bono and Labor & Employment Law Committees will jointly present a "Labor and Employment Civil Litigation Training Seminar" for pro bono attorneys and members of the Pro Bono Council, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 115 of the Levin U.S. Courthouse, with training meant for litigators new to the area of labor and employment.
Attendees, who must be willing to accept a pro bono assignment from the court, will not only learn about the applicable law and common practices, but also will obtain applicable tips on working with judges in the Eastern District, pro se parties, and resolution of such cases.
Panelists will include leaders in this field including Joseph Golden as well as attorneys who have been named "Super Lawyers, Rising Stars" in the labor and employment field.
Lunch will be provided, courtesy of the court and will include judges and magistrates who will mingle with the attendees.
To register for the seminar, email bonnie@burgess-sharp.com by Wednesday, Oct. 1.
