Town hall meeting looks at new proposed water authority on Oct. 2
Oakland County Commissioners Shelley Goodman Taub and Marcia Gershenson will host a special informational town hall meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Bloomfield Township Hall in the auditorium located at 4200 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township.
Speakers will include Oakland County Chief Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson who will provide a PowerPoint presentation and discuss the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. He will also speak on the creation of the new Great Lakes Water Authority and what it means for Oakland County residents.
Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions to get a clear understanding about the proposed Great Lakes Water Authority.
The public is encouraged to come ready to participate as this will be an interactive session with county leadership.
Commissioner Shelley Goodman Taub represents the cities of Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills, and Bloomfield Township in District #12.
Commissioner Marcia Gershenson represents the communities of Farmington Hills, Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield Township in District #13.
