Lawmaker takes oath of office and looks forward to 114th Congress
Representative Dave Trott (MI-11) released the following statement after being sworn in to the 114th Congress this week as congressman for Michigan's Eleventh Congressional District:
"It is truly an honor to take the oath of office and become Congressman for Michigan's 11th District. I am humbled by the trust put in me by my fellow citizens and I am committed to taking on the issues that are most important to the citizens of Southeast Michigan. Our state and our nation are facing enormous challenges and it will require all of us-working together-to put in place the important reforms we need to get America moving again. I will fight every day to ensure the voices and values of the 11th District are heard in Congress."
Trott is a lifelong resident of Oakland County and throughout his career has created or saved 1,800 jobs in Southeast Michigan. Trott received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Duke University.
