Expanded State Bar member profiles now available

The State Bar of Michigan is pleased to announce a new member benefit-a free expanded State Bar member directory profile listing. With economic pressures and new technology changing the legal landscape, it is more important than ever for attorneys to market themselves online. That is why the SBM has partnered with the online legal marketplace ZeekBeek.com to build a full-featured membership directory that makes it easy for members to share information with the public and peers. New features members can take advantage of include the ability to: - Create customized and detailed profiles, including a photo. - Establish unique URLs that allow members to use the profile page as a personal website. Members can post publications, blogs, and videos. - Join and create groups. - Build connections with other lawyers. - Map geolocation. - Monitor all site activities from personal dashboards. - Facilitate client contact through optional site contact, endorsement, and review features. Information for expanded profiles can be added through the State Bar of Michigan Member Area or from the ZeekBeek site. A member record will automatically update in both places within seconds. Information provided will also update automatically in the new SBM Connect. Members can also import LinkedIn profile information directly on the ZeekBeek site. All a member needs to get started is their SBM user name and password. From the new member directory (directory.michbar.org) select the "Update Member Profile" link at the top of the page. From there all the Zeekbeek site features can be accessed. Members can attend a free webinar to learn how to best utilize the new member directory features.
