Panel discussion to look at 'The Pervasiveness of Privacy,' Dec. 8 in Troy
An understanding of privacy requirements is essential in nearly every field of legal practice today. The State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section is hosting a panel discussion on "The Pervasiveness of Privacy" from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Somerset Inn in Troy.
The panel will provide an overview of the privacy law landscape with focus on selected areas that may impact small business clients, including marketing privacy laws, financial and healthcare information; data security and breach obligations; and ethical and legal considerations in the lawyer-client relationship.
The experts speaking on the panel include Michael S. Khoury of FisherBroyles LLP, along with Robert L. Rothman and Keith A. Cheresko of Privacy Associates International LLC.
The cost to attend the panel discussion is $25 and includes a light dinner. Register online at www.michbar.org/news/viewevent/eid/648.
