On Thursday, December 20, a retirement party was hosted for Wayne County Probate Court Judge June Blackwell-Hatcher in Detroit. Blackwell-Hatcher became the first woman to sit in the Estates Division of the Wayne County Probate Court. She has served as president of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan, and has been a member of the National College of Probate Judges, the Michigan Probate Judges Association, the Greater Wayne County Chapter of Links Inc., and the Wayne County Probate Bar Association.
