Governor signs bill into law

Last Friday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed House Bill 4171 into law.

House Bill 4171 amends the Income Tax Act so that widowed spouses can continue to claim certain tax deductions that they claimed while their spouse was alive. The bill was sponsored by Representative Julie Alexander, R-Hanover.
