The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) will present its Legal Excellence Awards 2020 online via Zoom on Thursday, Aug. 20. The program will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by a virtual happy hour from 8 to 9 p.m.
Awards to be presented include:
• Judicial Award—Kent County Circuit Court Judge Christopher P. Yates
• Excellence in Defense Award—Patricia Nemeth, Nemeth Law PC
• Golden Gavel Award—Javon L. Williams, Secrest Wardle
• John P. Jacobs Appellate Advocacy Award—Susan H. Zitterman, Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, Valitutti, & Sherbrook
• Respected Advocate Award—Jody L. Aaron, McKeen & Associates PC
Roop Raj of Fox 2 Detroit will be the emcee for the event.
