Panelists to offer techniques to enhance an ADR practice

The State Bar of Michigan's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section will present "My Favorite Things: Time Tested Techniques to Enhance Your ADR Practice" on Tuesday, April 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Experienced mediators will share their favorite techniques and approaches-What works for them? At which stage do they employ each? Do they work in caucus, joint session, or both? Do they help parties get to "yes?"

Attendees will be able to sharpen their mediation skills, enhance their array of techniques, and freshen up their practice. Topics to be covered include:

  - Process design to get off on the right foot
  - Early stage techniques
  - Mid-stage techniques
  - Late stage techniques
  - Best practices for Zoom

The panel will feature Earlene Baggett-Hayes, Michael Leib, Ed Pappas, and Rande Sotomayor; along with moderator Sheldon J. Stark, mediator and arbitrator.
