Attorney to examine 'Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities' during program

McDonald Hopkins' Jim Giszczak will be speaking as part of a panel at an in-person event presented by FEI and hosted by Oswald Companies. "Identifying and Responding to Your Organization's Unique Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities" will take place Thursday, February 9, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Oswald Companies, 39572 Woodward Ave., Ste. 201, in Bloomfield Hills.

Learning objectives of the program include:

• Understand how a cyber insurance policy protects your organization.

• Gain insight into the current market and the cybersecurity control expectations of insurance carriers.

• Increase awareness of emerging cybersecurity issues including the wrongful collection of data, systemic risk, and biometric data.

• Learn how a personalized cybersecurity report can uncover your organization's vulnerabilities.

• Receive a unique BitSight Report reflecting your specific organization's current risk posture.

Giszczak is co-president of McDonald Hopkins. He also serves as co-chair of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, and serves on the firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He previously served as chair of the firm's Litigation Department.

Giszczak advises clients regarding data security measures and responding to security breaches involving sensitive personal information and protected health information. He also works with clients in several industries to assess and implement appropriate data security safeguards.

Also speaking at the program will be Lacy Rex, vice president, cyber strategic leader, with Oswald Companies.
