The Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan will present “Anti-Hybrid Rules and Implications For Structuring, New Foreign Tax Credit Regulations” Thursday, June 29 from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. at Plante Moran- Southfield, 3000 Town Center, Suite 100, in Southfield.
The presentation will cover the anti-hybrid legislation and what it means for business owners, the details of “check-the-box” entity classification and how anti-hybrid legislation is affecting this choice, and U.S. tax structure options to relieve the anti-hybrid issue. It will also cover the updated foreign tax credit regulations and discuss what qualifies as a creditable tax, along with additional changes that limit the ability to take the credit.
