Wayne County CASA (court appointed special advocates) hosted its first annual “Spring Into Hope” Fundraiser in May. The generosity displayed at the event allowed Wayne County CASA to schedule an additional volunteer pre-service training which will take place this month. Wayne County CASA appreciates all who attended and contributed at the event.
Wayne County CASA recruits, screens, trains, and supervises volunteer advocates to speak up for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Its volunteers are appointed by jurists (judges and referees) in the Wayne County Third Circuit Court Juvenile & Family Division, abuse and neglect docket. The specially trained volunteers strive to become a positive, stable influence for Wayne County children, while ensuring they have a voice in and out of court, for a stable future.
Every contribution to Wayne County CASA brings it one step closer to fulfilling its mission. To make a one time donation or to become a Champion of Hope, which is a monthly donor, visit https://waynecountycasa.org and click on “donate.”
