Firm partners with company to develop training content on generative AI

Taft is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Skillburst Interactive to develop an innovative training series covering generative artificial intelligence (AI), specifically for lawyers and other professionals.

With the rise of generative AI being used across industries, Taft participated in a first-of-its-kind legal consortium, working with Skillburst, other leading law firms, and technology experts to create training content that prioritizes the safe and ethical use of generative AI in the practice of law. The interactive programming will include fundamental training related to privacy and security concerns, implications of data bias, ethical considerations, liability and accountability, and the essential skills for collaborative interdisciplinary work with data scientists and IT professionals.

“We want to embrace generative AI in a responsible and thoughtful way,” said Lyndsay Capeder, chief client and innovation officer at Taft. “Working within this consortium aligns with Taft’s holistic and collaborative innovation strategy and enables us to help pioneer a standard for utilizing generative AI in the most effective way that prioritizes protecting our clients and our firm.”

“The need for this content is crucial as the legal landscape continues to evolve with new technologies available to us. This valuable resource will equip Taft attorneys, paralegals, and other professional staff with the education and training we need to continue our commitment to being the modern law firm and legacy of exemplary client service,” said Robert J. Hicks, Taft’s chairman and managing partner.
