Prosecutor to discuss Wolverine Watchmen case

Wayne State University law School will present “Prosecuting Domestic Terrorism in Michigan: the Wolverine Watchmen Case” on Wednesday, January 24, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer Ave. in Detroit.

This exclusive event will offer insight into the strategies behind major cases that garnered statewide attention. Sita Doddamani (‘04), head of the Michigan Attorney General’s Hate Crimes and Domestic Terrorism Unit, will lead a discussion on the state prosecution of the Wolverine Watchmen. This group was charged with plotting to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The lecture is the lead prosecutor’s first public discussion of this crucial case.  Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
