The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) and Friend of the Court Bureau (FOCB) will present a “Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Training Webinar” Thursday, February 22, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
The Michigan Child Protection Law MCL 722.623 requires a person employed in a professional capacity in a Friend of the Court office be considered a mandated reporter of child abuse and neglect.
By the conclusion of this webinar, participants will:
• Understand mandated reporting requirements.
• Understand implicit bias and disproportionality.
• Know components of the Child Protection Law.
• Be able to recognize some signs of child abuse and neglect.
• Become familiar with the MDHHS reporting process.
