The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, in cooperation with the U.S. District Court and the Detroit Bar Association will present “POWER ACT: Navigating Intimate Partner Violence in Civil Cases—A Guide for Pro Bono Attorneys” on Tuesday, March 26, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Theodore Levin U.S. District Courthouse, 231 W Lafayette Blvd. in Detroit.
During this workshop, experts from First Step and Lakeshore Legal Aid will equip attorneys interested in pro bono work with essential knowledge and strategies to effectively support domestic violence survivors in family and civil court proceedings. All experience levels are welcome.
