Meet the Judges
The New Lawyers Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association hosted its “Meet the Judges” event on Thursday, April 11, at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak. Judges from the Oakland County district, probate, and circuit courts, along with judges from the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, were invited to this annual event. Among those socializing were (left ro right) Oakland County 45th District Court Chief Judge Michelle Friedman Appel, OCBA Board member Syeda Davidson of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, OCBA Board member Moheeb Murray of Bush Seyferth PLLC, OCBA Board member Victoria King of Oakland County Circuit Court, Oakland County 44th District Court Judge Andrew W. Kowalkowski, and Oakland County 46th District Court Judge Cynthia Arvant. In addition to networking, attendees took part this year’s silent auction which raised funds for Oakland County Children’s Village.
