A fund-raising luncheon for the We Care Foster Care program took place May 2 on Belle Isle in Detroit. The nonprofit agency, formerly known as For the Seventh Generation, provides an array of support and educational services for foster children in Wayne County, according to Executive Director Alexis Ramsey (left), who has headed the program since 2020. Ramsey is pictured with former Detroit Bar Association Executive Director Lorraine Weber (center), who serves as board chair of We Care Foster Care, and former Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, an honorary host of the event.
