Dear Editor:
The following is my response to the Village President’s comments at the Village Meeting on 8/20:
“Why was it necessary at the last meeting on August 6 per Miller’s personal dissertation of everything discussed in the last 2-3 months since he became President.
“Citizens have a First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech to let others know that the opinions of a few may not be good for all. If questioning officials about certain ideas affecting residents and costs involved by citizens to let the council know that we need major ideas or changes to be decided by everyone and not just a group of six people. In fact, it seemed like Miller was trying to intimidate the citizens who were questioning him! Voicing our reasons for not wanting something and questioning, under their First Amendment Rights, should not intimidate a board that represents the citizens of this Village.”
We all need to vote in November for change!!
