Local muralist Patrick Hershberger, a 1997 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School, is pictured above on September 26 working on the mural on the side of a building owned by Catering by GMC at 16 East Michigan in downtown Galesburg. The muralist had a good turnout September 28 when community members were invited to help paint in a few areas on the mural. Hershberger said some family members of Billy Gillespie, the late owner of Billy’s Bike Shop that is pictured in the mural, came to the September 28 event.
