Youth Law Conference
The Oakland County Bar Association conducted its 30th Annual Youth Law Conference on Tuesday, November 19, at Walsh College in Troy. This year’s conference, titled “Understanding Law: Opportunities, Choices, and Impactful Decisions,” featured keynote speaker Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (third form right). Happy to welcome Benson to event were (left to right) OCBA Executive Director Jennifer Quick, Elizabeth Hohauser of Elizabeth A. Hohauser PLLC, Jeffrey Raphelson of Bodman PLC, Alec D’Annunzio of the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, and Mark Berke of the Law Office of Mark B. Berke PLLC. The Youth Law Conference is a one-day event that educates high school juniors and seniors about career options in the legal profession and the general legal process, provides tools for better decision-making, and features a variety of legal issues as they pertain to the students.
