The Michigan Board of Law Examiners recently released the results for the July 2024 bar exam, revealing that Wayne State University Law School achieved a first-time pass rate of 87%. This figure is 10 percentage points above the statewide average.
This achievement highlights Wayne Law’s new bar preparation program with JD Advising which was launched in January 2024 to augment its graduates’ success on the Uniform Bar Examination. The results reflect the efforts of the faculty, staff, Office of Career Success, and JD Advising who worked with students to ensure their success.
“This extraordinary success reflects the strength and commitment of the Wayne Law community,” said Dean Richard Bierschbach. “Our students’ determination, coupled with the targeted support provided by our faculty, staff, and the partnership with JD Advising, has truly elevated outcomes. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of support and excellence as we continue to set new standards for bar exam success.”
