The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel presented its 2025 Legal Excellence Awards on Thursday, March 20, at The Gem Theatre in Detroit. Before the event, MDTC President John Hohmeier (far left) caught up with (left to right) Membership Chair Dan Campbell and Legal Excellence Awards Chair Stephen C. Madej. During event, the Young Lawyers Golden Gavel Award was presented to Laura Alton, the Excellence in Defense Award was presented to Richard Kitch, and the Judicial Award was presented to Michigan Supreme Court Justice Brian Zahra.
