The Michigan Judicial Institute in collaboration with the Friend of the Court Bureau is pleased to provide a fourth webinar in a series planned to address misconceptions/myths in friend of the court related matters.  The “Alternative Dispute Resolution Myths Webinar” will be presented Thursday, May 22, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.

This session will explore the Friend of the Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Court Rule (MCR 3.224) which became effective January 1, 2020. Since its implementation, there have been some misconceptions concerning friend of the court alternative dispute resolution duties and tasks. This webinar presentation will clarify friend of the court responsibilities for providing alternative dispute resolution services.

Speaking at the webinar will be Dr. Timothy Cole, management analyst, Friend of the Court Bureau, State Court Administrative Office, Michigan Supreme Court.
