80th Annual Banquet
The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) hosted its 80th Annual Banquet on Saturday, May 10. The “Totally 80s Prom Night” took place at MGM Grand Detroit. Among those sporting their prom finery were (left to right) Donn Fresard, Wayne County Circuit Court Chief Judge Patricia Perez Fresard, Robert Schneider, and Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Muriel Hughes. During the “totally rad” banquet, the MAJ honored Outgoing MAJ President Eric Steinberg, Incoming MAJ President Nicholas S. Andrews, Shereef Akeel with the 2025 Champion of Justice Award, Judge Timothy P. Connors with the 2025 Judicial Lifetime Excellence Award, Jennifer A. Engelhardt with the 2025 MAJ Women’s Caucus Award Of Excellence, and Representative Kelly H. Breen as 2025 Legislator of the Year.
